Some of my friends will occasionally either quote from editorial columns they have read or in some cases even provided the link to them. I usually don't attempt this. But the Thomas Friedman (NYTimes) column dated I think Nov 22 but in the San Antonio paper on Nov 26 is well worth reading. So I will attempt either to link it or cite the URL.

Hey, the little icon above worked !

(Warning , this is NOT an anti-Obama right-wing rant.)

I would like to see Americans apply imagination to our declining worldwide economic prominence. One way this could be huge would be for our dreamers and inventors to find innovative ways to return manufacturing to our shores. Surely there are technologies that could be found and applied that would reduce the cost of manufacturing here and allow American firms to decide to make products HERE for our consumers instead of in low wage third world countries. While wages might be dirt cheap in other lands by our standards, transportation costs must offset some of that
differential.
So, come on industrial America! Invent the "silver bullet" that will make "Made in the USA" viable again!
